“I started Shredding as a way to get in shape for a hill-filled half marathon out in San Francisco. As a runner, my workouts were stagnant; I knew I was out of shape and needed more variety, so I tried Shred415.
Since starting Shred415, I have PR’ed every race time—I’ve run four half-marathons since October, I’m now below a 1:44 half marathon pace—and have gone from a size 10/12 down to a 4. Beyond the physical training, I’ve benefitted most from Shred415’s mental training—when I’m in a tough mile of a race, I think about the trainers saying, “You can do anything for one minute,” and translate that to the mile I’m in.
Outside of racing, I recover more quickly, no longer suffer from over-use injuries (used to have IT band syndrome and shin splints), and am in the best cardiovascular condition of my life. Shred415 trainers are second to none and kick my as$ every workout. I love to hate them, hah!
Now about five months later, I’ve just completed my first full marathon—the L.A. Marathon on Valentine’s Day! I finished in 3:39 with an average pace of 8:22 min/mile (four minutes faster than my dream goal pace). It was unseasonably hot, so I fully expected to barely break 4 hours, and I could not be happier with crushing even my dream goal.”
